To be more precise, the light still works but the fan no longer spins. Any ideas on what the problem could be and if it's fixable or not? I'm not sure how many components of a ceiling are user serviceable or not...depending on the age of the fan if its a newer model check to see if you have a loose wire going to fan motor,if not then your motor is shot.It could be a loose wire, the fan speed switch, the fan speed control box, or even the fan direction switch. If it is a multi speed motor it could be the control board in the fan. if it is a remote control type it may be the speed control again in the fan.
Chances of the motor burning up are slim, most of the time it is a loose wire or control problem.
both remedys need you to remove the fan from the ceilingIF ITS NOT JUST A LOOSE WIRE GET SOMEBODY WHO KNOWSthe moter is probily burned up#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
