How can I connect my laptop to my VHS so I can record home videos to DVD?

March 18th, 2010
  • I'm looking to preserve my home videos by changing them from VHS to DVD. My laptop already has a DVD recorder on it, so I'm hoping that I do not need to buy a separate DVD recorder. Is this feasible and if so, what kind of equipment would I need for this?

  • You can send your tapes to StashSpace.Com and with their current promotion you can get free encoding. Here is the promo:

Doing it yourself in real-time is possible but requires additional hardware and software and the quality will not be as good as a professional service.

  • 2 ways to solve ur problem.
1.use pc need video capture card.
2.buy stand alone dvd recorder n use as a vcr.
    good luck.
