I admit this is pointless, but I've been wanting to know this for decades:
Am I the only one who places "The Camera Eye"
in their Top 3 or so of "Absolute Finest Compositions"?
List whatever factors you wish, opinion vs. objective, etc,
but surely I'm not the only.........right?Rush sucks. they are the 3rd worst band ever, behind Foreigner and Motorhead. Rush has 1 good song- Subdivisions.'Camera Eye' is indeed a fine tune and it's statements are noteworthy. Not top 3 worthy though. Top 10 maybe.
YYZ
Trees
Tom SawyerI am not a huge rush fan. But i love moving pictures. I think all the songs are greatYou probably arn't. I love the song, but it is not their best epic one. That is probably 5th in my list of their best epics. Behind:
Necromancer,
Cygnus X-1
Xanadu
and 2112I have to agree with Shred, best prog. song that they made, next to Hemispheres.A fine Composition it is hands down. A progressive masterpiece, yeah one of their Best Prog songs indeed.
But on a note of personal preference I would say that Ghost Of A Chance is in their top 3 of finest compositionsWow, top 3 I can't help you with, too many great songs, but I've always loved that one; my favorite on that album for sure. It sure is an epic masterpiece, I might go top 3 if I give it more thought. Great question!Certainly among their top 10 IMO. Top three would be hard for me to place...I guess I'm not enough of a "major" fan. Their music is so incredible, and your choice of the word 'composition' is quite apt.
@ exos308: please, please, please, just stay away from R&P if this is the kind of drivel you have to offer. The question was for fans of the band, not detractors. While that doesn't preclude your answering, it would, I hope, compel a bit of humility on your part so you could at least say something nice and go your merry way.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
